The DOT Physical Exam

A DOT physical is a very thorough, comprehensive physical examination. It is more in-depth than a traditional physical exam, as it assesses your vision, hearing, heart, lungs, and cognitive or neurological functions. You will need a DOT physical if you drive a vehicle that can carry more than 15 people, are paid to drive a vehicle that can carry more than 8 people, transport hazardous material, or drive a vehicle with a gross weight rating of 10,000 pounds or more on the interstate.
